Can We Talk?

With my apologies for the delay, it is long past time that I say thank you! Thank you to every person who has read a copy of the Incredible Power of Simple Service. I am truly humbled by the number of people who have made the investment of time and money to read my account of the events of the past 24 months. Words cannot express my appreciation. It would not be a stretch to say that every friend and family member in my fairly large circle has read the book. That being said, I have been told that it is time.

My small team of trusted advisors at Simple Service has suggested that the message of serving needs to go further than just my family and friends. I have been told that there is a larger circle of people who would enjoy and benefit from reading the book. To date, I have resisted any effort to reach beyond the people closest to me. I have reluctantly agreed, it is time.

You will soon see a modest effort to spread the word about the book. With much apprehension, a Facebook page has been created. Despite my concerns, there is no doubt about the power of social media.

By way of this post, I am also asking for your help. I have talked to many of you who have read the book and I am tremendously blessed with the many positive reviews that have come from those conversations. Others have emailed some positive feedback. And a scant few have suggested that I go back to my day job. There are always a few!

Here is the ask. If the Incredible Power of Simple Service has made an impression on you or perhaps gave you a reason to pause about where you are in life, would you be willing to share some details about your experience? We are looking for a few testimonials regarding the book, 5-10 minutes at the most. Maybe the book led you to serve in a place that you hadn't previous to reading, we would love to hear about that as well. We could record the interviews via Zoom in a very informal format.

If you are interested in sharing, please shoot me an email or call me, all of my contact information can be found at www.simpleservicebook.com.

Thanks in advance for any thoughts that you would like to share.

If you are reading this blog, more than likely you too have read, “The Incredible Power of Simple Service.”

In April, 2021, my dear friend, let’s call her Patty, passed away from Covid19. In lieu of flowers or donations, her family asked you to perform an act of kindness in Patty’s name. You see, Patty knew the wonderful feeling you get when you are being of service and she wanted to pay it forward. Sooo, this small ask from Bill, is a precious opportunity for you to be of service, by sharing your thoughts and feelings about “The Incredible Power of Simple Service.”

Do it for Bill, do it for yourself, do it for others, just do it because being…

The book is awesome. I do try to do service work. It is not hard to start to do just simple things. Perhaps: pumping gas for an elderly person, taking your cart back to the cart return, smile at someone and say hello and have a good day. Just look around you would be shocked at what a difference you could make in someones life today.
